MHP Breast Cancer Awareness Activities
October 6 - 17, 2017
The American Cancer Society estimates that 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. To raise awareness and contribute to the cause, MHP has planned the following activities:
Awareness Walk - Friday, Oct. 6
Give your lunch hour to a good cause by walking from Noon - 1 pm on the Square in Oskaloosa (rain location: Penn Central Mall) in order to raise awareness for breast cancer. With a $25 per person donation, each participant will receive registration for the walk and a long-sleeve commemorative T-shirt. Your support is appreciated whether you can walk all or part of the time. Registration is due for the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk by Wednesday, Sept. 27. T-shirts will be available for pick-up on Thursday, Oct. 5 inside entrance #1 on the MHP campus from 1 - 5 pm. If you are unable to pick up your shirt ahead of time, they will be available at the walk.
FREE Women's Breast Health Night - Tuesday, Oct. 17
Hosted at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. This evening is a fun, educational opportunity where women can gather to learn more about protecting themselves from breast cancer while enjoying fabulous food and door prizes.
