Hospice Support Groups

 

Support groups provided through MHP Hospice Services are structured to assist people grieving the loss of a loved one. Each group has been developed to meet different needs. Whether you are seeking a place of fellowship and sharing or want to create a lasting memory to honor your loved one, a support group is available for you.

Bereaved Parents Support Group – Meets at 7:00 pm on the first Tuesday of every month in the MHP Board Room. The group is open to any parent who has lost a child.

The MHP Board Room can be accessed by entering entrance #2 on the MHP campus.

Adult Grief Support Group - Meets at 1:00 pm on the first Wednesday of every month on the 2nd floor of the Mahaska Health West Building (entrance #6). The group is open to any adult who has lost a loved one.

Treasured Memories Support Group – Offered at various times throughout the year, this support group is for adults who wish to create a memoriam scrapbook of photographs and memories for their loved one. The group is free and all supplies are provided.
