Geriatric Psychiatry Services

Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry is a geriatric behavioral health unit that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex mental health problems of senior adults. We work with illnesses including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, dementia-related behavior and increased intensity of existing mental illness.

Patients usually stay 10 to 14 days; during which time a personalized care plan can be developed for them. Patients and their family will receive education on their diagnosis and treatment plan. Staff can also assist families with finding permanent placement if needed.
