Hours: Full-time. Monday – Friday 8:00a – 4:30p.
Education Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred but not required.
Job Requirements: Must have strong computer skills – Microsoft Office or equivalent. One year of secretarial and/or event coordination experience preferred. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and donors. Demonstrates proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability. Emotional maturity. Communicates effectively and courteously with all co-workers, patients, and customers. Uses professional telephone phone etiquette. Supports communication from leadership to clinical and care teams. Communicates and delivers project updates to Mahaska Health Leadership. Experience in a professional setting, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Prior experience working in healthcare is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism. Assists with Executive communications, people and service line promotions both internal and external. Ability to make sound and well-informed decisions and possess problem solving skills. Maintains composure under pressure and while multi-tasking and taking direction on multiple projects and seeing them through to completion.
List of Duties: Lead and assist with pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event planning, at event planning and, coordination and post event follow up of various internal and external luminaria ceremonies, community events, employee appreciation and engagement events/activities. (Examples include, but are not limited to: Share the Love, Light the Night, Trunk or Treat, Lunch & Learn, Monthly birthday lunch, CEO Staff Updates, Snack cart, etc.) Provides a variety of administrative tasks for the CEO and the Executive Administrative Assistant as directed by the Executive Administrative Assistant (i.e. including, but not limited to: Composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; Arranging complex itineraries; Scheduling, organizing, agenda building and minute taking for designated medical staff and non-medical staff meetings.
