Arthur grew up in Illinois and spent the last 5 years as an intensive care unit nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Arthur graduated with honors from DePaul University with a Master of Science in nursing and went on to earn his Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license from North Park University School of Nursing.
He chose to become a medical provider to be a part of improving people’s lives. “I like to see people get better, be happier and ultimately do things they’ve wanted to, but couldn’t because of a limiting medical issue,” added Arthur. His approach to providing care is to understand the patient’s goals and share his medical knowledge. Arthur prides himself in being a patient advocate and resource. “I want patients to feel comfortable and be able to ask me anything.”
Arthur said he chose to join Mahaska Health because of its reputation. “The hospital has a wonderful team who provide great medical care and take great pride in their community.”
In his free time, Arthur enjoys the Frisbee-golf course at Edmondson Park, reading, spending time with family and even some salsa dancing with his wife.
