A visit from a beloved pet can provide comfort and companionship during a hospital stay. Mahaska Health welcomes approved visits from family dogs and cats when the visit is appropriate for the patient and hospital environment.
Pet visits are approved based on the patient’s condition and the hospital environment at the time of the visit. Mahaska Health may postpone or end a visit when needed to support the care and comfort of patients.
