Makayla Kruse, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with the Mahaska Health Walk-In Clinic team. Makayla is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals and families throughout our community.
Makayla earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She brings strong clinical experience in women’s health, dermatology, orthopaedics, cardiology, and family medicine.
Before completing her Physician Assistant training, Makayla provided patient care at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, serving as a Float Nursing Assistant across multiple units and as a Work Skills Supervisor supporting residents with disabilities. She was honored with the Helping Hands Award for her dedication and compassion in patient care.
Makayla enjoys running, baking and cooking, reading, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends.
