The Mahaska Health Award of Excellence is our non-nursing Employee Recognition Program that recognizes full and part-time employees of Mahaska Health for their performance, dedication, and diligence in carrying out their duties and in advancing the goals and mission of Mahaska Health.
The Mahaska Health Award of Excellence employee recognition program identifies employees who serve as models to the community for professional achievement and reinforce Mahaska Health’s commitment to recognizing outstanding performance. The Mahaska Health Award of Excellence was established for non-nursing employees to align with the DAISY Award. We want our programs to work hand-in-hand, as we know the overall success of Mahaska Health and award winning care of our patients, rests in the hands of each of our employees.
Nominations for extraordinary performance can be made by patients, visitors, co-workers or a member of the leadership team. Selection criteria is based on more than an employee performing the essential functions, going above and beyond the call of duty, and being exemplary in their performance.
- How did this care team member impact your experience, stay, and visit, at Mahaska Health?
- Describe a situation where the care team member went above and beyond the normal scope of their position.
- Share an example where the care team member provided exemplary service and engaged you in a positive way.
Nomination periods are open through January 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st each year.
