Handwashing Awareness Week 1Practicing good hand hygiene is the top way to decrease the number of germs that enter our bodies. Patty Malloy, Mahaska County Public Health Population Health and Quality Director, speaks into the importance of handwashing by saying, “Keeping hands clean is one of the most important things you can do to stop the spread of germs and stay healthy.” This week is National Handwashing Awareness Week, and Mahaska Health was excited to celebrate in a way that gave back to our community!

This week, Mahaska Health donated bottles of soap and donated financially towards the Oskaloosa Community School District School Lunch Program. We are excited to have an opportunity to give back to our community!
