9:30 am Award Ceremony & Finish Festival. Medals to be awarded to the top male and female 5k finishing times in each of 8 age categories.

Run in the Sun is more than a race! Our participants are a community; a family bonded together in support of Serenity House. Join in the fun and help make a tremendous difference in the lives of many. Your participation in the 13th Annual Run in the Sun helps Serenity House continue to provide individualized, compassionate care to families who need it most.

PARKING
Please park south of the stadium following parking signs and enter through the south stadium gates. Please see the parking and route map for detailed course information.
TEAMS
Are you attending with a group of friends, colleagues or fellow church members? Is your family walking in memory of someone special? It’s easy to add that you are part of a team, just click on the “Manage Registration” link from your confirmation email. From there select “Teams” from the top menu to create or join a team.
WEATHER
Run in the Sun will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., lightning) or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of participants. Race officials reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel the race. All registrations are nonrefundable. In the event of lightning, the race will be postponed 30 minutes every time lightning is detected within a 10-mile radius of the event. Please note that every time lightning strikes within a 10-mile radius, the 30-minute timing increment will restart.
IMPORTANT reminder for disposable timing chips:
– The race number needs to be worn on the front of the body and must be visible to the eye (not under a jacket).
– Each timing chip is specific to a person. Please do not trade bibs or chips with anyone.
– You are allowed to change distances but must amend your online registration or notify the timing booth 30 minutes prior to race start.
