Drew Lewis, DO is a fellowship trained, board-certified Pain Management Specialist. He earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at the Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Lewis completed his internship at Downey Regional Medical Center in Downey, California and went on to finish his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UC Davis Medical Center, in Sacramento California. Proceeding his residency, he was fellowship trained through the Fellow of the American Academy of Osteopathy and the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators. With his expertise and leadership, Dr. Lewis taught at Des Moines University in West Des Moines, IA, as a professor and mentor. During that time, he received the 2014 “Physician of the Year Award,” and the 2020 “National AOA Mentor of the Year Award.”
Dr. Lewis provides compassionate, patient-focused pain management care through careful listening, focused examinations, and shared decision making. As a certified subject matter expert, he offers patients treatment plans customized to their specific needs. A self-proclaimed Iowa captive, Dr. Lewis first moved to Iowa for medical school, met his wife, and liked it so much they decided to call it home. Dr. Lewis enjoys family activities, biking, and word working.
