Eric Miller, DO, has been with Mahaska Health since 2015. He grew up on a farm just outside Ottumwa, IA and chose Mahaska Health because he has always wanted to be close to home in a rural setting. Dr. Miller gravitated toward medicine since his mother is a Pediatrician, but he wanted to see a variety of patients, which is why he chose to become a Family Physician. Improved wellbeing and positive patient outcomes are the most rewarding thing about his job. He listens carefully to his patients and enjoys working together as a team to form a holistic plan that can often combine medication and lifestyle changes. Eric provides care to whole families and especially enjoys seeing kids. As a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Miller provides comprehensive care for adults, including Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) to help in diagnosing and treating conditions to support overall health and wellness.
Along with spending time with his family, Dr. Miller likes hunting, model trains and is an Eagle Scout and volunteers as a scout leader. He appreciates the variety of activities and restaurants that Mahaska County has to offer for the relatively small community size.
