Mahaska Health has expanded care and services by welcoming Dr. Garth Summers to our new OB/GYN team!
Garth Summers, DO, OB, Birthing Center & GYN Co-Medical Director enjoys listening to patients and helping to decide next steps. With an interest in surgery, Dr. Summers pursued women’s health for its ability to help patients over their lifetime and through significant stages of life. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. From utilizing cutting-edge technology such as the da Vinci Surgical System to supporting patients with fertility, Dr. Summers helps patients using the latest evidence-based medicine.
As a native of Oregon, he went to undergrad in Colorado and now calls Iowa home. When he isn’t helping patients, he enjoys cooking, microbreweries, biking and swimming.
