Gayle Johnson, ARNP joined Mahaska Health in November 2019. For more than 30 years, Gayle has been a caring nurse in Grinnell, Iowa. During her tenure there, she has worked in the Medical Surgical Unit as a charge nurse and served as clinical advisor for the medical surgical unit, intensive care unit, emergency department, and obstetrics. Gayle’s motivation and love for patients lead her to become a Nurse Practitioner so she could better care for patients. She has taught Trauma Nursing classes and still volunteers as a member of the Montezuma Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service. When it comes to experience, Gayle has literally done it all. Gayle understands that everyone has a different background and she wants to learn where her patients are coming from.
Quilting and reading are her favorite hobbies. The Lake of the Ozarks is a favorite destination for Gayle’s family and she has many fond memories at Lake Keomah.
