Jarrod Phelps, Mahaska Health Surgical Physician Assistant, completed his undergraduate degree from Loras College, Dubuque, and his master’s degree to be a physician assistant from Des Moines University. Jarrod began his career as a phlebotomist. Jarrod is Board Certified with the NCCPA and has extensive experience in assisting during Open Heart and Cardiothoracic surgeries, Orthopaedics, OB/GYN, Urology, and General Surgery procedures. His focus is on delivering high-quality care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Jarrod enjoys collaborating with our expert surgical services team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and providing knowledgeable and lasting care for his patients. When he is not practicing, Jarrod spends time with his family, and enjoys the outdoors.
