Jay Blomme, MD, is a board-certified and Fellowship trained Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician. Dr. Blomme completed his MD Program at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine as a member of the Carver Rural Iowa Scholarship Program and President of the Family Medicine Interest Group. Following his MD Program, He completed his residency program at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth Texas and continued to train and work there as a Sports Medicine Fellow. In addition to his formal care, his volunteer experience in medicine coverage at sports events, races, tournaments, and injury clinics have expanded his skill set for a wide range of Sports Medicine diagnoses and treatments.
Alongside serving patients on the Mahaska Health campus in Family Medicine and Pain Management, Dr. Blomme will also be providing sideline coverage at Oskaloosa and William Penn sporting events! Dr. Jay Blomme is dedicated to providing high-quality care to help his patients achieve their best health, both in sports and everyday life.

Dr. Jay Blomme recently moved to Oskaloosa with his wife, Dr. Erica Blomme. Outside of work, Dr. Blomme enjoys hiking, drawing, and live music.
