
Katlyn Bombei, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in General Surgery at Mahaska Health. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Cornell College, where she graduated cum laude. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Iowa Physician Assistant Society and the American Academy of Physician Associates.
Katlyn brings hands-on clinical experience across emergency medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, women’s health, pediatrics, cardiology, and surgical care. Her training includes performing histories and physical exams, assisting in procedures, providing wound care, interpreting imaging and lab results, and supporting patients before, during, and after treatment. She is committed to using these skills to help patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their care.
Born at Mahaska Health and raised near What Cheer, Katlyn is excited to return to the area and serve the community she calls home. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, baking, cooking, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
