Lauren Terpstra, PT, DPT, CLT 1

Lauren Terpstra, PT, DPT, CLT, PCES, is a physical therapist at Mahaska Health specializing in orthopedics, women’s pelvic health and lymphedema. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Central College and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Des Moines University.

Lauren has been a physical therapist at Mahaska Health since 2008, treating a variety of orthopedic conditions as well as patients with lymphedema and pelvic health needs. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, with additional training in pelvic rehabilitation and functional dry needling.

Lauren focuses on listening to each patient, understanding their goals, and creating individualized treatment plans that fit their needs and lifestyle. She also emphasizes education, helping patients better understand their condition, and taking an active role in their rehabilitation.

Born and raised in Iowa, Lauren lives near New Sharon with her husband and children. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.
