
Leah Bruxvoort, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of clinical experience and a focused background in occupational health and urgent care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College. Leah Bruxvoort specializes in comprehensive occupational health services including DOT exams, injury care, respiratory evaluations, and workplace wellness support. She is skilled in orthopaedic injuries with skills in patient education, communication and collaboration with numerous referring medical providers and outside legal, insurance, and business teams. Leah has a passion for caring in a way that each patient feels that they were listened to and cared for mentally and physically. Before joining Mahaska Health, Leah served patients across rural and occupational health settings, including high-risk perinatal care and family medicine. Her approach to care centers on active listening and meaningful patient engagement.
Raised in Iowa and born at Mahaska Health, Leah continues to live in the area with her husband and five children. Together, they farm and raise livestock south of New Sharon. When not at work, Leah enjoys hiking, biking, and gardening.
