Dr. Mark Zacharjasz serves as Mahaska Health Hospice Medical Director and believes in offering his patients the best possible treatments and advice while upholding their values and autonomy. He accomplishes this by understanding each patient as a whole through the context of their life. Dr. Zacharjasz is passionate about helping patients and their families through difficult times and providing care for the entire family. His surgical and non-surgical specialty interests include biopsy of skin lesions and joint injections. Outside of the office, Dr. Zacharjasz enjoys spending time with his family, dogs and cats, hockey, oil painting (Bob Ross style), reading and watching his favorite TV shows.
