Melissa Marie Mahon, DNP, CRNA, is a certified registered nurse anesthetist with extensive experience in both hospital and critical access settings. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Iowa and holds advanced degrees in nurse anesthesia and nursing from Wolford College, the University of Missouri, and Columbia College. Melissa has provided independent anesthesia care across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, and emergency care. Melissa provides compassionate, patient-centered care through active listening, empathy, and clear, respectful communication.
Melissa grew up in small-town Missouri, while her husband is from Keosauqua, Iowa. After welcoming their first child in Orlando, they chose to return to Iowa to raise their family in a close-knit, small-town community similar to the one they both experienced growing up. They are surrounded by family, tradition, and a strong sense of home. Melissa serves as the Keosauqua Mayor and enjoys traveling, visiting Pura Vida Medspa, and attending Broadway and comedy shows.
