Scotlan Peterson, MSN, CNM, ANRP is a Certified Nurse Midwife who provides comprehensive obstetric and women’s health care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and completed her midwifery training with UnityPoint Midwife Services. Scotlan is board certified through the American Midwifery Board Certification. Before becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife, Scotlan worked as a pediatric nurse and labor and delivery nurse. Her experience includes caring for women during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond, as well as supporting newborns and families in both routine and higher-acuity settings. She holds specialty certifications in AWHONN fetal monitoring, advanced fetal heart rate monitoring case assessment, and basic life support.
Scotlan Peterson provides compassionate, individualized care by listening closely to each patient’s needs and goals, serving as an advocate, and offering support through every phase of life.
Having grown up in Iowa, Scotlan values the opportunity to care for women and families in southern Iowa and give back to the community that helped shape her. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors boating and camping with her husband, their son Hayes, and their golden retriever.
