We are pleased to announce the implementation of a Team Recognition Program that will recognize Mahaska Health teams or committees, encompassed of full and part-time employees of Mahaska Health for their performance, dedication, and diligence in carrying out their duties and in advancing the goals and mission of the Hospital.
The team recognition program will identify effective teams where all of the members trust teach other and are bonded by the mission to serve as models to the community for professional achievement and reinforce Mahaska Health’s commitment to recognizing outstanding performance. The Team Achievement Award award was established for teams to align with the Award of Excellence for non-nursing individuals and the DAISY award for nursing team. Our programs work hand-in-hand, as we know the overall success of our Hospital and award winning care of our patients, rests in the hands of each of our employees.
Nominations for a team’s extraordinary performance can be made by care team members. Selection criteria is based on more than a team performing essential functions, going above and beyond the call of duty, and being exemplary in their performance.

Nomination periods are open through May 1st, and November 1st each year.
