Mahaska Health is pleased to welcome three experienced providers to its Level IV trauma center Emergency Medicine team: Nicola Preston, DO, Bryce Hoffman, MD, and Jeffrey Sisul, ARNP, FNP-C.
Dr. Nicola Preston is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency at University of Iowa Hospitals. She has served in several leadership roles, including Emergency Department Medical Director, Emergency Medical Services Medical Director, and Trauma Medical Director.
Dr. Bryce Hoffman is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals. He has practiced throughout rural Iowa, served in multiple Emergency Department Medical Director roles, and received multiple Emergency Department Faculty Teaching Awards for excellence in physician education.
Jeffrey Sisul, ARNP, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College. He has extensive experience in rural and metropolitan emergency departments, trauma centers, urgent care settings, and hospital-based programs across Iowa. He also served as a flight nurse in air ambulance programs.
