Mahaska Health honored local First Responders at its Main Campus on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. Mahaska Health partnered with the county to call attention to the dedication and selflessness of its 911 dispatchers, police department, sheriff’s office, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, emergency management, community emergency response team members, and volunteers.

Mahaska County Chamber of Commerce Diplomats joined Mahaska Health’s leaders, physicians, and nurses to recognize the new addition of services available to the community at Mahaska Health. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony commemorates the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art clinic dedicated to women’s health and wellness.
On April 21st, the 2024 Rural Maternal Health Innovation Summit provided an opportunity to convene six rural innovative rural obstetrics innovators, physicians, nurses, and government leaders to connect about improving Healthcare for women and babies in rural areas. Clinical leaders Dr. Trish Millner, Family Practice with Obstetrics, Erica Strunk, Obstetrics & Birthing Center Director along with Daris Rosencrance, CFO and Kevin DeRonde, CEO from Mahaska Health presented the positive benefits of teamwork, a patient-first culture, recruiting, quality initiatives and partnerships established to better serve rural communities with kindness and empathy.
